Hello! I am Betsy Freese, the Founder of Adoption Possibilities. A little about me personally:

Adoption has been part of my family for a long time. As a teenager, I learned that my grandfather was adopted and I was always curious about this. In 2018 I began really considering adoption for myself after having a procedure that made it unlikely to have biological children. As I learned more about adoption, it became a passion for me and clear that this was how I wanted to create my family. So, I partnered with a local Adoption agency in Columbus, Ohio and began my adoption journey. In 2019, I adopted my daughter as a single woman and became a mom for the first time. Choosing to adopt her has been one of the hardest, but also the most rewarding thing I have done in life, and it has helped me find my purpose in this world. 

I started Adoption Possibilities in 2025 with the hope of being able to make adoption possible for more families, and not just those that are in a traditional Christian family structure. As a single Christian woman going through the adoption process, I didn’t qualify for several of the adoption grants because I wasn’t married, which led to me covering all the adoption expenses on my own. Having personally been through adoption, I fully understand how hard it can be, both financially and emotionally. Although it can be a stressful process, I truly believe that it is all so worth it in the end, when you bring that child home and welcome them into your life. My hope is that Adoption Possibilities can be a small part of the adoption journey for families and that it will ease some of the stress along the way.
